NAKED BUT SAFE
Biannual review of art, fashion, culture and ideas.

In a world of ambiguous, confirmative, conventional journalism, Naked but safe, a print biannual review of art, fashion, culture and ideas, stands true to what it believes in: Being nonconformist. Exposed yet strong. Elitist yet egalitarian. Empowered, yet gentle. Visual yet eloquent with words.

Marking it’s 11th year as a successful presence in the best of international newsstands, Nakedbutsafe firmly believes beauty is a form of genius – and vice-versa.

After all why sensual seduction should be a tautology of intellectual superficiality?

The design by AM Studio draws its inspiration from the magazine’s “contradictory and non-manipulative” philosophy and uses typography in a manner disruptively unconventional.

SOMEONE WILL REMEMBER US
one day

A limited edition coffee table book dedicated to the ancient Greek poetess Sappho,
who Plato hailed as the “tenth muse”. Her timeless erotic poetry jewels are paired with a visual journey of the act of love. The longing. The extreme, intense expression of emotion. Love and lust, pain and sorrow. Minimalist words, in a minimalist design. Photographs and verses are tied in a seductive dance, veiled by the mystery of both what the eye hides and what the eye reveals. Falling in love with the person, or love itself has always been a courageous act, where fear to lose one’s self dissipates, as one is lost to the other; almost like a primordial sin that can keep lovers immortal.

Sixth Extinction - AM_Page_01.jpg

SIXTH EXTINCTION
A project about the impact of humans on nature

From the Palaeozoic era 440 million years ago to this day, our Earth has gone through five extinctions, and is now plunging, as indications show, to its sixth. This is a new epoch we have entered. It began in the dawn of the Industrial revolution. In just a handful of centuries, we altered the ecosystem more than we ever did in the previous 2.4 billion years. Like careless, carefree children we made Earth our playground without considering the impact.

We are starting to consider it now.

The Five Extinctions theory is awakening us to the fact that humans might not survive
this time around and one just has to look at the signs indicating a grim reality.

QUINTESSENCE
An exhibition and a photo essay,
a journey and a pilgrimage

A story of oneness
A dream of transcendence

Being an inseparable part of it and yet acting as we are not,
our magnificent connection is documented –well,
more like succinctly captured – in a series of images,
portraying the ultimate beauty in reciprocity and oneness.

The body blends with the soil
Stones made of flesh
Earth dissolves with the carnal
Quintessence: a meditation
The observation of a changing world.

The invisible ties are restored
where the senses emerge
Captured, immortalized visible and invisible ties.

Nature as Being knows no frontiers.
A story of oneness
A dream of transcendence
